My Journey: A Commitment to Engineering, Education & Nation Building

1. Childhood & Strong Educational Foundation

My academic journey began at Amar Jyoti Janata Secondary School in Lutel, Gorkha, where I completed my SLC in 1985. Driven by my passion for engineering, I completed an Intermediate in Civil Engineering from Paschimanchal Campus, Pokhara in 1992, and a BE from Pulchowk Campus (IOE) in 1995. Always seeking knowledge, I eventually completed my MSc in Water Resources Engineering with Distinction from Pulchowk Campus in 2004.

2. Beginning of Professional Career & Academic Leadership

I began my professional career in 1995 as an Assistant Engineer at the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, Government of Nepal, posted in Tanahun. After some time in government service, my interest shifted towards academia. I taught at Paschimanchal Campus and Kathmandu Engineering College.

With the vision of doing something innovative in education, I established the Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM), where I served as Founding Principal and Director from 2000 to 2007, producing thousands of skilled engineers.

3. National Pride Projects & My Role in Infrastructure

A significant aspect of my professional life is the development of Nepal's tunnel and hydropower sector. Since 2008, I have been serving as Executive Chairman of Megatech Hydro & Infrastructure.

4. Social Responsibility & Policy Participation

To further dignify the engineering profession, I served two terms as an elected and nominated board member of the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC). I also worked for professional rights as Treasurer and Executive Member of the Nepal Engineers' Association.

In 2007–2008, I had the opportunity to contribute at the policy level as part of a government task force collecting data on conflict-affected infrastructure.

5. Research, Innovation & Honors

I am always in pursuit of new technology. In the process of modernizing traditional technology, I developed and demonstrated a "Solar Mill". My research on the power of local grass roots for landslide control on slopes, along with various articles, has been published.

In recognition of contributions to the country's development, I was bestowed the "Prabal Jana Sewa Shri" honorary title by the Hon'ble President on Constitution Day 2078 BS. Honours received from Prime Ministers and Ministers on various occasions have given me added energy to serve the nation.
